Check Point Certified Security Administrator (CCSA)

The CCSA certification course is an introductory course for Check Point's flagship product, VPN-1/FireWall-1. This certification prepares you to manage basic installations and setting up an Internet firewall and provides hands-on training to manage these products in the security industry.

   
Requirements

CCSA program is scheduled for 32 hours of instructor led classroom training. This does not include the timings the students will spend in the lab getting hand-on experience.

To earn CCSA CP 2000 certification, candidates must pass:
Exam #156-205: VPN-1/FireWall-1 Management I - CP2000

To earn CCSA NG certification, candidates must pass:
Exam #156-210: VPN-1/FireWall-1 Management I - NG

VPN-1/FireWall-1 architecture
Deployment of VPN-1/FireWall-1modules and components
How to install and configure VPN-1/FireWall-1 on both Windows and Solaris
Definition of security policy using the VPN-1/FireWall-1 Security Dashboard, incorporating the Visual Policy Editor
Log management improvments
Deployment and managed distribution of security gateways using Check Point's Secure Update and Secure Internal Communications (SIC) capabilities
Administration and troubleshooting of VPN-1/FireWall-1 security policies
Remote management
Network address translation (NAT) implementation
Deploying authentication through FireWall-1's authentication mechanisms
   
Hands-on-Labs

Installing and configuring VPN-1/FireWall-1 modules on Windows NT.
Defining FireWall-1 objects and users
Establishing basic VPN-1/FireWall-1 security policies
Using command line options with a security policy
Configuring anti-spoofing and authentication parameters
Configuring NAT (Static NAT and Hide NAT)
