IDS (Intrusion Detection System)

Intrusion Detection System (IDS) scrutinize packets passing in and out of the network and endeavor to find out if an interloper is attempting to break into or bring down your network. The IDS runs continuously on your system alerting you when it detects something malicious. IDS monitor the network traffic continuously for attack signature and report any occurrences by risk level that has been defined. IDS goal is to serve both as a detection and prevention mechanism.
